


Career in Sports
- Fifty students from Chavez High School explored the different roles and career opportunities within the sports industry.
College Guidance 101
- Four University of Houston students talked with 50 graduating high school seniors about the transition from high school to college and how prepared they felt to make that lifestyle change.
College, Career, Military Readiness
- Four counselors from Travis High School in FBISD led a presentation for middle school students outlining the requirements for success in college, the military, or a professional career. Students were encouraged to start preparing early in order to retain the information.
Women's Empowerment
- Ninety young women from Girls Inc. connected with seven successful female staff members and Houston Dash player Kiki Van Zanten to learn about navigating and succeeding in the sports industry as women.
Hispanic Heritage
- Seven of our staff members with Hispanic/Latino backgrounds shared personal stories with 51 high school juniors and seniors about how their upbringing helped guide their careers and shape their goals.
Sports Medicine/Athletic Training
- Two members of the Houston Dash training staff shared insights into working with professional athletes and explained why recovery is critical for athletic performance.
