During each Houston Dynamo FC and Houston Dash home match, the team will recognize one active duty or veteran military member or first responder. Each honoree will receive tickets to the game in which they are being honored, a customized jersey, and recognition on the field. If you know a military member deserving of this recognition you can check back later this month to find out how you can nominate a person to be chosen for recognition.
Dynamo & Dash Charites is committed to helping recognize and support the active-duty Military members and Veterans throughout the Houston Community. Dynamo & Dash Charities hosted 250 Veterans and Active-Duty military members and their families at Shell Energy Stadium as a Thank You for their service. Families were treated to a free dinner as well as the opportunity to participate in various games and activities around the stadium. Families were able to get a photo on the field, take a behind the scenes tour of the stadium and take photos with the Dynamo and Dash Trophies.
Dynamo & Dash Charities alongside Habitat for Humanity came together to help build two playhouses for military families with kids. These families were also a part of a local Habitat for Humanity community. This event was made possible thanks to the volunteers from Dynamo & Dash Charities and veterans from Habitat for Humanity
For the second year, Dynamo & Dash Charities partnered with Rebuilding Together to help refurbish the home of a Military Veteran. This year we helped to provide electrical upgrades as well as new siding and exterior painting for the home of Mr. James Garcia who is a former Army Sargent. Mr. Garcia and his wife were also invited by Dynamo defender Erik Sviatchenko to the Military Appreciation match on September 7.
