HOUSTON (March 29, 2025) – Houston Dynamo 2 open a two-match homestand on Sunday, March 30, when they host Minnesota United FC 2 at Shell Energy Stadium, marking their first match at the venue this year. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. CT and fans can claim their free tickets to this match and every Dynamo 2 home game HERE.

Dynamo Dos looks to bounce back at home following a narrow 1-0 road loss to Ventura County FC on Sunday. The team created two key scoring opportunities, one in 23rd minute when midfielder Noah Betancourt’s header struck the crossbar and another in the 62nd minute when Dynamo 2 captain Diego Gonzalez almost found the bottom left corner with a dangerous strike that was saved by the Ventura County goalkeeper.

Despite the result, the match did see two more Dynamo Academy players make their professional debuts in goalkeeper Roman Kerimov, who finished the night with six saves, and midfielder Lionel Gitau, who returned from international duty earlier this week with the U-17 U.S. Men’s National Team. Defender Micah Harris also returned from international duty with the U-17 U.S. Men’s National Team and started for Dynamo 2 this past matchweek.

Dynamo 2 heads into Sunday’s match sitting second on the Western Conference standings with six points through three matches, while Minnesota are coming off a bye week after opening their 2025 campaign on March 14 with a 1-0 road victory versus Austin FC II behind a late winner from Kisa Kiingi. The game winner was scored in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time following a corner that found Kiingi at the back post for a header.

Dos has the upper hand in the all-time series against Minnesota United 2, with six wins and two draws. In 2024, Houston took all three games, winning two at home and one on the road. Notably, Dynamo 2 scored three or more goals in each of their three matchups against Minnesota last season, including a 4-1 home victory on August 21 and a 3-1 home victory the week after. Forward Gabe Segal played a key role in both games, scoring three goals in the two matches.

Dynamo 2 continue their two-match homestand versus LAFC2 on Sunday, April 6 at SaberCats Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 6:00 p.m. CT. Free tickets for the match are available HERE.
