Andressa Alves has finally touched down in Houston after featuring for Brazil in the 2023 Women's World Cup.
Andressa joins the Dash after spending four seasons (2019-23) with Italian side A.S. Roma, where she helped lead the club from league newcomer to most recently leading the Serie A club to its first Scudetto and UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification during the 2022-23 season. Andressa’s 2022-23 season included a career best 17 goals across all competitions and inclusion in Serie A Femminile’s Top 11.
The day started early for the midfielder, who immediately made her way to Houston Sports Park after landing in Houston that morning. After meeting some of the team and checking out training, Andressa was able to see her new home, Shell Energy Stadium for the first time.
The following day, Andressa participated in her first training with the Houston Dash.
Andressa may make her Houston Dash debut this weekend on the road. The Dash take on San Diego on Sunday, September 3 at 7:00 pm CT. The game will be available on Paramount+, AT&T Sports Net and for international viewers on nwslsoccer.com
