In Match Day 2 for Olympic Qualifiers, our five Dash players in Group B faced off against each other as the standing made themselves clear. Canadian defender Allysha Chapman, midfielder Sophie Schmidt and forward Nichelle Prince took on Jamaican forward Kayla McCoy.
Chapman and Schmidt both started in the match and they were quick to get in on the action. In the first half alone, Canada found themselves up 3-0. McCoy checked in for Jamaica at the start of the second half with Jamaica hoping to make a comeback. Canada, however, was unstoppable and ended the game with a whopping 9-0 victory. Chapman logged 62 minutes for Canada while Schmidt played the full match.
Our Dash players have one last match day at H-E-B Park in Edinburg, Texas. On Tuesday, February 4, Canada faces off against Mexico at 5:30 pm CDT. Jamaica wraps up play for the group when they take on St. Kitts & Nevis at 7:30 pm CDT. Games will be streamed on the Fox Sports app.
