The Houston Dash learned their full schedule for the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup presented by P&G and Secret today, as the National Women’s Soccer League released the television and streaming schedule for the tournament.

While the tournament begins on June 27, the Dash will kick off their tournament run on July 1 at 9 p.m. CDT against the two-time defending NWSL Cup winners, the North Carolina Courage. 


Houston will then face Sky Blue FC, led by two-time World Player of the Year Carli Lloyd, on Sunday, July 5 at 11:30 a.m. CDT before taking on former Dash captain Kealia Ohai and the Chicago Red Stars on Thursday, July 9 at 11:30 a.m. 


The Dash will wrap up the opening round of the tournament on Monday, July 13 against the Washington Spirit at 9 p.m. CDT. All four Dash matches in the opening round will be streamed live on CBS All Access. 


The NWSL today announced that CBS will air the opening match of the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup presented by P&G and Secret between back-to-back champions North Carolina Courage and Portland Thorns FC on June 27 at 11:30 a.m. CDT. The game marks the first-time professional women’s club soccer will be seen live on a national broadcast network in the United States. The CBS broadcast coverage of the opening match will also stream live on CBS All Access, and opening day continues with a matchup between the Orlando Pride and Chicago Red Stars on CBS All Access at 8 p.m. MT (9 p.m. CT).

All double headers through the semifinals will be played at 10:30 a.m. MDT (11:30 a.m. CDT) and 8 p.m. MDT (9 p.m. CDT). Both the tournament opener and the Final will air on CBS and will be streamed on the CBS All Access subscription service. All other games will be live on CBS All Access in the U.S. and Canada and will re-air on CBS Sports Network. Fans outside the U.S. and Canada can stream the full tournament on Twitch. 


This tournament marks a return to action for the Houston Dash and second-year head coach James Clarkson. The Dash went 7-12-5 under Clarkson in 2019, including a 2-1 win in Salt Lake City on May 11. The Dash are 1-2-0 overall in Utah since 2018, when Utah Royals FC joined the NWSL.
