Fans attending Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash matches at BBVA Stadium now have another healthy choice at the concession stand as Power Up Trail Mix has been added to the menu for 2020 as part of an official partnership with Power Up Snacks.
This new partnership expands the club’s healthy menu options for fans, which includes veggie tacos, fruit cups, veggie cups at the Taqueria and a ZLT (zucchini, lettuce, and tomato) sandwich, roasted bistro-style vegetables, and grilled asparagus to fans in the stadium’s luxury suites. The healthy menu items were created in collaboration with the culinary team at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Power Up Snacks to the Dynamo and Dash family,” said Club President John Walker. “We strive to deliver world class experiences to our fans and guests, and Power Up Snacks aims to do the same with the very best selection of nuts, dried fruits, and seeds, so this makes a natural partnership in providing a top-notch product on and off the field.”
Featuring an assortment of trail mix products, Power Up Snacks specializes in providing fresh, whole, premium-quality ingredients that nourish the body and keep it going strong. Sold in resealable packaging, Power Up Snacks make a perfect addition to any event, whether sitting on the sofa or hitting the road for a Dynamo or Dash game.
“We are excited that our multi-year partnership with the Dynamo and Dash will be a great mutually beneficial relationship,” said Power Up Founder and CEO Morris Elbaz. “Our mission is to bring the best possible healthy snacking experience to the Houston area, which made it a perfect fit to team up with the passionate players and fans of both teams. It allows us to deliver our message while also keeping Dynamo and Dash fans Powered Up to support the squads for a full 90 minutes.”
The Power Up Trail Mix product will be available for purchase at multiple concession locations within the BBVA Stadium concourse during all Stadium events, and one section of lucky fans will be receiving free Power Up Trail Mix at halftime of Dynamo and Dash games. At halftime of each game, the Power Up Trail Mix Go Nuts Section of the Game will be announced, and all ticket holders in the winning section will receive a free bag of Power Up Trail Mix.
Along with Houston Dynamo & Dash fans enjoying the Power Up Snacks, the Dash players themselves will be offered complimentary Power Up Trail Mix, helping them stay nourished and ready to go throughout the NWSL season.
The Houston Dynamo kick off their 2020 campaign on Saturday, Feb. 29 when they host their longtime rivals the LA Galaxy on Opening Day presented by BBVA. Kickoff for that match is set for 2:30 p.m. CST. The Houston Dash will begin their seventh season in the National Women’s Soccer League in mid-April. The 2020 NWSL schedule is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
