What motivates you to do well?
Growing up, my motivation was always my family. They’ve always wanted me to do well and looked after me, growing up they game me everything so I just want to pay them back by succeeding in football.
Who are your heroes?
On the field – Messi, definitely. I’ve watched him since I was little and he is just fantastic. I play in a similar role so I watch him in games to see what he does. So he is definitely my biggest hero on-and-off the field.
What is your favorite soccer movie?
Goal, because he started as a little kid that didn’t have much and he grew into being famous and succeeding in football.
Who would play you in a biopic?
Amy Poehler – she’s just funny and everyone tends to laugh at my accent.
What is your favorite book?
I’ve read all of the Harry Potter books and just recently I was at Universal Studios at the Harry Potter castle – I’m a bit of a fan. That series stands out.
What superpower would you like to have?
I would like to fly. The first place I would go to is a fascinating island and take my family with me.
If you were stranded on said Island with two teammates, who would they be?
I’d pick B[ianca]. She is very smart and she would keep me on track. Another one I would take is Megan [Crosson]. Megan and I are very good friends.
What’s your go-to karaoke song?
Is this the way to Amarillo. I think it’s just a fun song and it would be funny to perform with the whole team.
If you could have one meal for the rest of your life, what would that be?
Chinese, it’s my favorite. Whenever I have a treat I always go for Chinese. I usually go with chicken curry and fried rice. That would be my best meal.
Describe your perfect day.
Get up, have breakfast, do a lift and spend some time with my family. Take my nephew and nieces out and just relax at home. I’m a very family oriented person. I like to be around my family all the time. That would be my perfect day.
Where do you want to go on your next holiday?
I’ve always wanted to go to Las Vegas. I’ve known a lot of people that have gone and the way they describe it, it’s amazing.
What are your goals for the next 5-10 years?
I just want to get better individually as a player. I’d love to win a NWSL championship with the Houston Dash. I’d like to make it to a World Cup with my national team. Those are the big ones.
