Houston Dash forward Michelle Alozie will join the Nigerian Women’s National Team for the Aisha Buhari Cup, Nigerian federations announced yesterday.
Nigeria will host the inaugural Aisha Buhari Cup from Sept. 14-20 and the tournament includes the host country, Cameroun, Ghana, Mali, Morocco and South Africa.
Alozie made her international debut at BBVA Stadium earlier this year on June 10 against Jamaica. The forward scored her first international goal three days later against Portugal in Houston.
The American-born Nigerian footballer signed with the team on Aug. 25 and has appeared in four games for Dash this year.
