Houston Dash forward Rachel Daly will join the English national team for two upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying matches, the English federation announced today.
England will host North Macedonia at St. Mary’s Stadium in Southampton on Friday, Sept. 17 before traveling to face off against Luxembourg on Tuesday, Sept. 21.
Daly has appeared in nine games for the Dash the season, scoring four goals in the process, including one in the Dash’s most recent contest against the Orlando Pride on Sunday which tied her for the club’s all-time goal scoring record in league play with 28.
The Houston forward has 36 career caps with the English national team, including five appearances at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and has scored four goals. She was also named to the Team Great Britain squad for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and made four appearances in the tournament.
