Houston Dash forward Rachel Daly was named to the NWSL Team of the Month for September, the league announced today.
Daly scored in two consecutive games for Houston in September to give the Dash a share of the points in their 1-1 draw with the Orlando Pride on Sept. 5 and again five days later in a 1-1 draw with the Chicago Fire. The England international currently leads the team with five goals this season.
This is Daly’s fourth Team of the Month recognition in her six-year career and first since the 2018 season. She is the third Dash player to earn Team of the Month honors this season, joining midfielder Kristie Mewis (June) and defender Katie Naughton (July).
Daly will join the Dash on Saturday in Kansas to face Kansas City NWSL for the third and final time this season. Houston looks for their second consecutive victory on the road as the Dash navigates a three-game road trip prior to returning to BBVA Stadium on Oct. 10 to host the North Carolina Courage.
