We caught up with the number seven overall pick in the 2018 NWSL College Draft and one of the newest members of the Dash midfielder Haley Hanson to get her thoughts on everything from joining the team to her favorite hobbies and more. Check out the interview below!
What are you looking forward to most about joining the Houston Dash?
I am beyond excited to join the Dash because it is such a competitive club and has a strong fan base. I'm also stoked to live somewhere warm for a change!
What are you looking forward to most about your first season in the NWSL?
I am excited for the competitiveness of this league. Each game will be a battle, and that's something I'm really looking forward to.
Now for the good stuff. Favorite food?
I can always go for good sushi, so I'm eager to find the best places here in Houston!
Do you have a pet?
I have two dogs, Scout and Ellie. They are both rescues, both mutts, and I'm obsessed with them.
The Winter Olympics are coming up - if you could compete in one Winter Olympic sport, what would it be?
If I could compete in one winter sport, it would be ice hockey...I don't really know why, but I just think ice hockey players are pretty cool!
Favorite hobby?
I am a Netflix junkie, and am always looking for the next best series!
Day or night?
Day. I like to wake up early and go to bed early!
