The Houston Dash have acquired forward Savannah Jordan from Portland Thorns FC in exchange for midfielder Andressinha, the club announced today.
Jordan was selected in the second round of the 2017 NWSL College Draft by the Thorns after a four-year career at the University of Florida. The forward scored 81 goals and tallied 27 assists in 94 matches while leading the Gators to the NCAA Tournament in each of her four seasons. The 23-year-old was a four-time United Soccer Coaches All-America selection, earning first-team honors in 2015 during her junior year.
Jordan scored three goals in three matches for the U-23 U.S. Women’s National Team at the Nordic Tournament in 2016. The Fayetteville, Georgia played in three matches for the U-20 USWNT at the 2014 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup and was named to the CONCACAF U-20 Best XI after scoring five goals in five matches during the CONCACAF qualifying tournament for the 2014 FIFA Women’s U-20 World Cup. Additionally, Jordan has represented the U.S. at the U-18, U-17 and U-14 levels.
Andressinha was acquired on July 27, 2015 from Kindermann in Brazil. The midfielder scored three goals and tallied four assists in 43 games for Houston over three seasons.
