The Houston Dash today announced the 2023 local broadcast schedule, presented by Magellan Corporation, a global distributor of specialty steel, in partnership with AT&T SportsNet Southwest that will include rights to eight local broadcast matches in 2023, maximizing the number of matches available to be broadcast locally.
“We are looking for ways to bring our world-class athletes into more households across Houston and this opportunity is the best way for us to do that. As we begin the 10th season of the Houston Dash ahead of the World Cup this summer, there is immense potential to grow our fanbase,” said Houston Dash President Jessica O’Neill.
The club’s first two regular season matches will be amongst the eight matches available on AT&T SportsNet Southwest, which includes the season home opener at Shell Energy Stadium on Sunday, March 26 against Racing Louisville FC at 6:00pm CT and first road match at Chicago Red Stars on Saturday, April 1 at 1:00pm CT.
AT&T SportsNet will broadcast the remaining six matches, three at home and three away, four of which will be featured on its primary channel, starting with Houston’s home matches against NY/NJ Gotham FC on Sunday, June 11 at 6:00pm CT and OL Reign on Saturday, June 17 at 7:30pm CT.
Starting this Sunday, the local broadcast team will feature play-by-play voice of Houston Dynamo FC, Glenn Davis, and color commentator Jessica Stamp. Davis, who has served as the play-by-play commentator for the Dynamo since the team relocated to Houston in 2006, joins the Dash broadcast team for a second term, having called Dash local broadcasts last year. Stamp joins the Dash broadcast team as color commentator, having previously served as a guest analyst in 2014. Stamp, a former player, currently serves as a color analyst for Big 12, ESPNU and Longhorn Network and previously served as a broadcast analyst for FOX Sports. Jen Cooper, who served as color commentator for the Dash last season, will serve as a guest analyst throughout the season.
In addition to the local broadcasts, Dash fans will be able to watch every match, including all Challenge Cup matches, via NWSL’s television and streaming partners. The Dash will be featured on CBS Sports Network four times, in addition to all 24 matches streaming live on Paramount+.
