HOUSTON (April 4, 2024) - The Houston Dash and Chevron U.S.A. Inc.today announced a multi-year agreement that will extend the efforts of both organizations in the Houston community. Chevron signed the first-ever sponsorship agreement solely focused on the Dash on March 15, 2022.
“We’re excited to expand our relationship with Chevron and welcome them as the first Community Champion of the organization,” Club Chief Revenue Officer, Jeff Stewart said. “Both organizations see a need to further serve our community and facilitate access to the sport. We look to address those needs through the Goals for Girls and Points for a Purpose initiatives.”
This new agreement now extends to Houston Dynamo FC plus the non-profit arm of the club, Dynamo and Dash Charities. Chevron will be designated as the first Community Champion of both teams, expanding efforts that began in 2022. Chevron and the Dash will collaborate on the Goals for Girls program, which will offer free girls’ soccer clinics throughout the year featuring Dash players and tickets to every home game. Chevron will also make a donation to a Houston-based youth organization for every point the Dash secures this season as part of the Points for Purpose program. In addition, a new mini soccer pitch will be built as a part of this collaboration.
“Chevron is proud to enhance our Dash relationship and become the first official Community Champion of the Houston Dash, Houston Dynamo FC, and Dynamo and Dash Charities. They have been great community partners and together we look forward to expanding access to youth soccer programming in our community,” said Amber Tierce, Houston Corporate Affairs Manager, Chevron.
The Dash return to league play next week following the FIFA break and look to build momentum after a thrilling 3-2 victory over Bay FC on March 30. The Dash will celebrate the team’s 10th anniversary at their next home match on April 12 when they welcome the Washington Spirit. Tickets for the match are available now at HoustonDash.com.
