Houston Dash forward Kealia Ohai was named to the NWSL Team of the Month by the NWSL Media Association, the league announced today.

The fourth-year forward scored two goals and tallied an assist in three games last month as Houston won two of its first three games. Both of Ohai’s goals were game-winners for the Dash. She scored the only goal in Houston’s 1-0 victory over the Washington Spirit last Saturday, which was the first road victory in the series for the club, and netted the opening goal in Houston’s 2-0 win over Chicago to open the season on April 15.

Ohai is the first Dash player to earn Team of the Month accolades in club history. She previously earned the NWSL Player of the Week honor in Week 15 and Week 17 of the 2016 season.

Houston travels to Chicago this Saturday for the final game of a three-game road trip. Houston returns to BBVA Compass Stadium at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 13 to host Sky Blue FC on the inaugural Dash Pups to the Pitch Day. Fans that purchase the special Pups to the Pitch package will be allowed to bring their best friend inside the stadium in a designated dog zone. Tickets for two-legged and four-legged fans as well as additional information may be found at HoustonDashSoccer.com/pups.
