Bianca Henninger was called up to the Mexican Women's National Team for the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia by head coach Roberto Medina, the federation announced earlier this week.
Mexico will open play in Group B against Trinidad and Tobago on July 20, two days later Mexico will face Haiti and finish the group phase on July 24 against Nicaragua. The top two teams of each group advance to the knockout round.
Henninger has earned four senior international caps with Mexico since making her debut against Canada on Feb. 4, 2017. Henninger was named to the Mexico roster earlier this year for a pair of friendlies against the United States Women’s National Team, including a game at BBVA Compass Stadium on April 8.
The goalkeeper will return prior to Houston's next match at BBVA Compass Stadium on Aug. 5 as the Dash host Christen Press and Utah Royals FC. Tickets for that match start at $19 and are available at HoustonDashSoccer.com.
