The Houston Dash will host the North Carolina Courage in their final home game of the regular season at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at H-E-B Park in Edinburg, Texas.

While it’s considered a home game for the Dash, the game was rescheduled from its original date of August 27 and relocated to the Rio Grande Valley due to the impact of Hurricane Harvey on the Greater Houston area.

The Dash will look to bounce back after falling 3-2 to the Chicago Red Stars at BBVA Compass Stadium last Saturday. Amber Brooks scored her first goal of the season after she converted a penalty kick earned by Kristie Mewis in the first half. Rachel Dalybrought Houston within one goal of equalizing after she scored her fourth goal of the season off a stunning header in the final 10 minutes of the match. Jane Campbell returned from international play and started in her 13th straight contest.

This will be the first NWSL game played at H-E-B field and the first professional women’s sporting event in Edinburg. This is also the second temporary home venue that Houston has used due to Hurricane Harvey. Houston hosted its first home match away from BBVA Compass Stadium at Toyota Stadium, presented by the FC Dallas Foundation, in Frisco, Texas on Sept. 3 against Seattle Reign FC.

The Courage sit atop the league table through 23 games and have clinched a home playoff spot in their first season in North Carolina. With a victory, North Carolina can claim the NWSL Shield, which is awarded to the top team in the regular season.

The Courage defeated Houston 1-0 in their first meeting this season with a goal from Kristen Hamilton. This will be the last meeting between Houston and the Courage, who relocated from upstate New York in the offseason, this year. Houston had a 4-1-2 all-time record against the Western New York Flash; and the Flash claimed their first NWSL Championship at BBVA Compass Stadium last fall.

Houston finishes the regular season at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1 in Missouri as they face FC Kansas City at Swope Park for the second time this year.
