The Houston Dash return to league play on Sunday as they host Seattle Reign FC at Toyota Stadium, presented by the FC Dallas Foundation, in Frisco, Texas in their first game since Hurricane Harvey.

Houston’s game was relocated to North Texas after the city suffered record-breaking flooding throughout the area. This will be the home game away from BBVA Compass Stadium in Dash history.

This will also be the first time Meghan Cox and Kristie Mewis will be eligible to play for Houston after joining the team earlier this week. Additionally, the Dash will be without Rachel Daly as she serves a suspension for a red card earned in Houston’s last game on Aug. 19.

Houston remains in the playoff picture as they sit nine points shy of the final playoff spot with five games left in the regular season. With a victory, Houston would earn its first victory against Seattle and sit one point behind the Reign, who won the first two meetings this season.

Seattle enters Sunday’s match in desperate need for points after losing four of their last five games. This includes last Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Portland Thorns FC. That was the first time Seattle lost to their rival from the Pacific Northwest in Washington. Seattle will have to succeed without Megan Rapinoe, who will miss the game to recover from surgery to repair a torn meniscus in her left knee. Seattle will still count on Katie Johnson, Beverly Yanez and NahomiKawasumi who have combined for 14 of Seattle’s 38 goals this season.

Houston will remain on the road as they travel to North Carolina for their first meeting of the regular season. The Dash and Courage still have a game in hand after their originally scheduled game was postponed due to Hurricane Harvey.
