The Houston Dash wrap up a three-game homestand tonight as they host the Boston Breakers for the second time this season. Houston extended its five-game unbeaten streak with a 2-1 victory over the Washington Spirit last Saturday with goals from Poliana and Andressinha.  Poliana currently leads the team in goals with four and has tallied two assists in 13 appearances for the team.  Andressinha was named the NWSL Player of the Week by the NWSL Media Association on Tuesday after her game-winning goal against the Spirit gave Houston their third victory in five games.

With Saturday’s victory, interim head coach Omar Morales is 3-2-2 since taking over in June. He has the team one win away from matching the club record for most victories in a season, with six; and with a draw or a victory would set a new team record for the longest unbeaten streak with six games.

Boston, led by forward Natasha Dowie and defender Julie King, enter Week 14 with a four game unbeaten streak, winning one game and earning a draw in three contests. The Breakers will still be without midfielder Rose Lavelle, who suffered a hamstring injury last month.

Goalkeeper Abby Smith returned to the team after recovering from right quad tendinitis in Boston’s 1-1 draw in Seattle last Saturday. Adriana Leon’s strike near the end of the first half salvaged a draw for Boston and extended their unbeaten streak to four games, the longest streak for the Breakers since 2013. The final meeting between both teams will take place on Aug. 16 as Houston visits Boston for their final trip to the Northeast this season.

This will be the final game before national team players report to camp for the Tournament of Nations, which includes the United States, Australia, Brazil and Japan. Up to six Houston Dash players could be named to their respective national teams to compete along the West Coast of the United States from July 27-Aug. 3. Andressinha, Bruna Benites, Morgan Brian, Jane Campbell, Carli Lloyd and Lydia Williams will be available for Houston’s next NWSL match on Aug. 5 in Oregon against Portland Thorns FC.

Houston returns to BBVA Compass Stadium on Sunday, August 13 to host the two-time NWSL Champion, FC Kansas City, for the club’s inaugural 90’s Night. The first 1,000 fans into the stadium will receive their own limited-edition Dash slap bracelet. The celebration will begin at the Bud Light Beer Garden with Four Square and other popular playground games from back when. The party continues inside BBVA Compass Stadium when the Dash take it back to the 90's with throwback music, videos and in-game entertainment. Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite 90's-inspired outfits. Fans in attendance will be able to take part in popular 90's games, crafts and activities throughout the night.
