Thirteen minutes into the Houston Dash's final preseason match against Texas A&M, Amber Brooks lined up for a free kick 35 yards from goal. Spurred on by teammate Rachel Daly, Brooks went for goal and boy did she get it.
Dynamo players A.J. DeLaGarza and José Escalante were duly impressed.
Brooks and the Dash start the 2017 NWSL season next Saturday at 1 p.m. CT at BBVA Compass Stadium, as part of a doubleheader with the Dynamo. Tickets are available separately (Dash | Dynamo) or as a bundle pack for both games.
