Hello Dash fans,
The season is finally here, and I cannot tell you how excited I am for it to get underway on Saturday evening. The preseason has shown that we have an exciting, attacking team with a great number of new faces, and our stated goal of reaching the playoffs is well within our reach.
Of course, it never hurts to have the best player in the world on your team, either. Carli Lloyd is an amazing player, obviously, and it’s a treat to be able to watch her play week-in and week-out. But it’s not just about one player. We have seven players who will represent their home countries at the Olympics in Rio this summer, and Brian and Randy have worked hard to build depth across the roster so that when our Olympians leave, the Dash will continue to thrive.
Your support is invaluable to all of us within the organization, from the players on the field to our staff and to me personally. Morgan Brian said earlier this week in an article on the team’s website that the one word she would use to describe Dash fans is “loyal.” I could not agree more. We sincerely appreciate your loyalty and we look forward to rewarding it by giving you a great team to support this season.
This season is going to be a fun and exciting one. I can’t wait to share it with all of you, starting on Saturday evening. I’ll see you all at BBVA Compass Stadium!
