The Houston Dash have re-signed forward Melissa Henderson, the club announced today. Per team and league policy, terms of the deal were not released.
Henderson, 25, was acquired by the Dash from FC Kansas City via a trade in July. The Notre Dame product appeared in all nine remaining Dash matches following the trade, starting eight, and totaling 629 minutes.
Henderson will also go on a four month loan to Fortuna Hjørring of the Danish Elitedivisionen beginning Sept. 1. Fortuna Hjørring currently sits at the top of the Elitedivisionen table after earning three wins in their first three matches. The reigning Danish league champions are also competing in the UEFA Women’s Champions Leauge, and face Portuguese club Atlético Ouriense in the Round of 32 beginning in October.
