The Houston Dash and forward Veronica Latsko have agreed to a new contract, the club announced today.
In her two years in the NWSL, Latsko has made a total of 25 appearances with 10 starts, scoring four goals and tallying two assists. the University of Virginia alumna played in 21 games with nine starts during the 2018 season. This year, Latsko made four appearances for the club before being forced to miss the remainder of the season with a left knee injury.
“Very pleased Veronica has re-signed, and we are excited for her to be back on the field and competing,” said Dash head coach James Clarkson. “Her injury last season was a huge blow but her dedication and determination to get back has been inspiring.”
At the University of Virginia, Latsko enjoyed a successful four-year career making 93 appearances for the Cavaliers, scoring 26 goals and tying the school’s single-game record for points.
The forward is spending her offseason in Australia on a loan as part of the W-League's Sydney FC alongside Dash teammate Sofia Huerta before rejoining the Dash prior to the start of the 2020 NWSL season.
