The Houston Dash (3-7-1; 10 points) look to extend a stretch of back-to-back positive results this Sunday as they travel to the Midwest for a showdown with FC Kansas City (3-4-4; 13 points).

Dash goalkeeper Jane Campbell earned her second shutout of the season as Houston and Boston played to a scoreless draw in midweek play. With the draw, Houston has now earned four out of six points over the last two games, their best stretch of the season. Carli Lloyd has assumed the captain’s armband with the injury to Kealia Ohai last Saturday. Poliana currently leads the team in goals with three and looks to build on her performance in Week 10 that saw her earn the NWSL Player of the Week award after she tallied two assists in Houston’s 2-0 victory over the Orlando Pride.

This will be the first of three meetings between the clubs this season. Kansas City visits Houston on Aug. 13 and the Dash return to Missouri on Sep. 29 for the final game of the regular season. The two-time NWSL Champions look to return to the playoffs after missing the cut in 2016.

The Midwest side return from a trip to the Pacific Northwest where they dropped two points in Seattle last Saturday and fell 3-0 to Portland Thorns FC in midweek action.  Kansas City enter Week 11 in seventh place and a Dash victory would allow Houston to match KC in points. Kansas City is looking for their first victory since May 27 when they defeated the Washington Spirit 3-2.

Carli Lloyd, Janine Beckie and Andressinha return to BBVA Compass Stadium on July 8 as Houston hosts Portland Thorns FC in the first match of a three-game homestretch. Fans can watch Allie Long, Becky Sauerbrunn and the best players in the league this summer with a Dash Summer Pass. The Dash Summer Pass provides access to up to 5 home games throughout July and August beginning at $75. For more information, visit HoustonDashSoccer.com/SummerPass
