Houston Dash sign forward Bridgette Andrzejewski

The Houston Dash signed 2020 NWSL Draft pickBridgette Andrzejewski, the club announced today.


“I was excited when I was initially drafted to the Houston Dash, but I am even more excited now since I’ve gotten to know my teammates, coaching staff, and the city of Houston.” said Andrzejewski. “It really is a perfect fit for me.”

Andrzejewski (ANDREW-jesky) joins Houston after spending a four-year career at the University of North Carolina where she scored 28 goals and tallied 21 assists for the Tar Heels. The forward started in 93 of 101 appearances with the Tar Heels, bringing versatility in the right-wing as well as inmidfield.


The Maryland native led her team to two ACC Championships in 2017 and 2019 and was part of the squad that finished the 2018 and 2019 seasons as NCAA runners-up. Andrzejewski was named to the preseason All-ACCTeam and the preseason Hermann Trophy Watchlist in 2017. The forward was named the ACC Freshman of the Year after she finished with nine goals and two assists in her first collegiate campaign. 


Andrzejewski brings international experience into Houston’s squad after playing for the U.S. Women’s Youth National teams since the age of 13.


With this transaction, the Dash now have 27 players on their active roster ahead of the 2020 NWSL season.
