Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) and METRORail Houston have partnered to make game day transit to Shell Energy Stadium effortless for fans.
Through the recently announced partnership, fans can use METRORail transit for free on game days with a ticket to any Houston Dynamo or Houston Dash match at Shell Energy Stadium.
Fans can reach Shell Energy Stadium by riding the Green Line or Purple Line, which serve the EaDo/Stadium station. The station is located on Texas Ave. between St. Emanuel St. and Bastrop St., directly adjacent to the stadium. The Red Line intersects with each of the other two at the Central Station on Main St. in downtown Houston.
The first opportunity for fans to enjoy the METRORail partnership will be tomorrow, Friday, May 12 when the Dash host the reigning NWSL champions, Portland Thorns FC. The Dynamo close a three-game homestand on Saturday, May 13 when they host Seattle Sounders FC at 7:30 p.m. CT.
METRORail is part of the METRO transit network, which served nearly 5 million passengers in 2022. The METRORail consists of 23 miles of rail which pass through or near the Texas Medical Center and Rice University (Red Line South); the University of Houston, Texas Southern University and the Third Ward (Purple Line); Downtown and The Heights (Red Line North); and EaDo plus the East End (Green Line).
Dynamo and Dash fans can reach Shell Energy Stadium by rail from nearly anywhere inside the Loop. METRORail also provides a number of convenient park-and-ride options for fans who want to avoid Downtown traffic.
