Jill Ellis selects Dash midfield duo for European friendlies in June

Houston Dash midfielder Morgan Brian was selected by U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Jill Ellis for the 21-player roster for a pair of friendlies against Sweden on June 8 in Gothenburg and against Norway on June 11 at in Sandefjord. The roster was released this afternoon by U.S. Soccer.


Additionally, Ellis selected Dash midfielder Carli Lloyd, who is currently with Manchester City for the FA Women’s Super League Spring Series. The two-time FIFA Women’s Player of the Year is scheduled to return to Houston next month.


Brian has earned 66 caps with the USWNT and won the Golden Ball as the most outstanding player at the CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship in Houston last February. The 24-year-old midfielder has appeared in three games for Houston this year.


Fans can watch Brian at BBVA Compass Stadium this Saturday as the Dash look to even the season series with Seattle Reign FC.
