The National Women’s Soccer League announced today that after consultation with the Houston Dash and Portland Thorns FC, Saturday’s Lifetime NWSL Game of the Week will kick off at 1:00 p.m. CDT, to avoid the brunt of a heat wave expected in the Pacific Northwest this weekend.
The game was originally scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CDT. Despite the time change, the game will still be available on Lifetime and will remain the NWSL Game of the Week.
Following this weekend’s game, Houston will return to BBVA Compass Stadium at 7:30 p.m. CDT on Sunday, Aug. 13 to host Sydney Leroux and FC Kansas City. The first 1,000 fans into the stadium will receive their own limited-edition Dash slap bracelet.
