Here are three key points ahead of Sunday’s game:

  1. FACE OFF AGAINST USA’S CARLI LLOYD – Tomorrow evening, Dash forward Rachel Daly will face off against Sky Blue midfielder Carli Lloyd for the second time this month. The two played each other in a thrilling World Cup semifinal on July 2 at Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon, France where the U.S. defeated England, 2-1. Daly will look for a bit of revenge against Sky Blue, who currently sit at the bottom of the table.
  2. HOUSTON LOOKS TO ATTACK – With Daly back, the Dash will enjoy the luxury of having all of their attacking pieces, including midfielder Kristie Mewis and midfielder Sofia Huerta, who are tied with Daly for the team lead with three goals apiece, and forward Kyah Simon who has two goals on the year. In Houston’s victory four days ago at Washington, Daly and Huerta combined on a play to assist Mewis in scoring the first goal of the game. Simon, who is coming back from an injury
  3. DRIVING FOR FIVE – The Dash swept Sky Blue in the 2018 season, scoring a total of 11 goals in the three matches played. This season, Houston won their first away game of the season against Carli Lloyd and Sky Blue with a game-winning goal from Sofia Huerta. The midfielder capitalized on a loose ball that flew past Sky Blue goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan in the 83rd minute, scoring her first goal of the season and her sixth with the club. The Dash will look for their fifth straight win over Sky Blue when they take the field Sunday night.
