- PULLING AHEAD IN THE ALL-TIME SERIES – A Dash win against the Pride would give them the lead in the all-time series, which is currently tied, 5-5-0. Houston will take on Orlando for the second time this season after hosting them on Cinco de Mayo. The Dash defeated the Pride when forward Kealia Ohai scored the game-winning goal with a curling effort in the seventh minute. Midfielder Sofia Huerta found Ohai on a breakaway run which the forward cut inside to create space for her first goal of the year. Houston has won the three last encounters against Orlando, outscoring them 6-2.
- DASH MILESTONES THIS SEASON – Houston will look to continue earning points under head coach James Clarkson, who has led the team to the best start of the regular season in club history. A victory for the Dash tomorrow could give the Dash their fourth win in eight games, the most victories through eight games in club history. A goal for the Dash tomorrow would continue the longest regular-season scoring streak in the history of the club at seven consecutive games. Scoring a goal would also help the Dash to continue their longest home scoring streak with goals in 13 straight games at BBVA Stadium.
- DASH PLAYERS IN THE WORLD CUP – Six Dash players are taking part in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France representing their home countries. Canadian players Lindsay Agnew, Allysha Chapman, Nichelle Prince and Sophie Schmidt earned their first victory against Cameroon 1-0 and currently sit in the second spot of Group E. In Group D, 2018 Team MVP Rachel Daly and England will take on Argentina on Friday after defeating their UEFA rival Scotland, 2-1. The Lionesses also sit in second place of their group. Clare Polkinghorne and Australia will take on Jamaica Tuesday at 2 p.m. CDT after defeating Group C first-ranked Brazil in a 3-2 historic rally. The Matildas are fighting for the second spot against Italy, who defeated Australia in their first game, 2-1.
