Houston Dash forward Rachel Daly ended her 2019 by playing two matches with the England Women’s National Team.
The Lionesses kicked off their two-match campaign in London, England hosting Germany. They made history playing at a sold out Wembley Stadium in front of a crowd of 77,786 people. Germany led the match early and although England was able to pull one back, they ultimately lost 2-1 when Germany found the game-winner in the 90th minute. Daly came on as a substitution in the 73rd minute.
Daly and the Lionesses then traveled to Stadion Střelecký ostrov for a match up against Czech Republic. The forward came off the bench in the 76th minute, creating quite a few goal scoring opportunities in England’s 3-2 win over the Czech Republic.
England will return to action in March of 2020 when they travel state side for the SheBelieves Cup hosted by U.S. Soccer.
