Rachel Daly was named to the England Women's National Team by interim head coach Mo Marley this morning for a 10-day camp in Spain that will begin this weekend.
The forward was the only NWSL player selected for the camp as England prepares for the SheBelieves Cup in March and a 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier against Wales on April 6.
The 25-year-old finished with a career-high five goals and two assists last season while splitting time between forward and right back. Daly scored two NWSL Goals of the Week in 2017, both against the Chicago Red Stars at BBVA Compass Stadium. Her first goal, on Saturday, April 15, earned a spot on ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10 Plays.
The forward signed a new contract with the club on November 20 and will return to BBVA Compass Stadium this spring for Houston’s fifth season in the NWSL and her third with the club .
