The Houston Dash forward Rachel Daly has been named to the provisional roster for the England Women’s National Team, the Football Association announced today.
Daly will join the England WNT for camp leading up to the 2022 UEFA Women’s European Championships. The Harrogate native has 48 caps and seven goals since making her debut for the senior team in 2016 against Serbia.
Daly and the Dash are preparing for the third road game in as many weeks. Houston will travel to the West Coast for the first time this season to take on the Portland Thorns. Daly, who is in her sixth season with the Dash, scored a penalty kick in Houston’s 2-0 win over Kansas City on May 8. Daly is also two regular-season games from 100 career appearances for the Dash and in the NWSL.
