Cara Loveland has been a Houston Dash fan since the team was first announced as the first expansion team in the NWSL. Loveland recalls being away in college when the team first began league play but upon returning to Houston in 2015, she made sure to come out to as many Dash games as possible.
A year later, in 2016 Loveland became a Dash365 season ticket member and was sure to support Dash at every home game that season and has been doing so since. For Loveland, the best thing about her Dash365 membership has been the ability to have priority access to matches, including the UKG NWSL Challenge Cup.
Loveland says she has built a community with other Dash365 members throughout the years and looks forward to spending time with them at home matches at Shell Energy Stadium.
The 2020 Challenge Cup Championship in Utah is one of Loveland’s favorite memories. With the COVID-19 pandemic limiting human interaction across the globe, Loveland said she was thankful for the opportunity to partake in the drive through parade once the team returned.
Loveland says she’s thankful for the opportunity to get to meet players like Dash defender Katie Lind.
“When I heard the news that we’d signed her I knew it was a great acquisition for the team,” Loveland said. “What’s even more amazing is her as a person and her dedication to this club. She stays and talks with fans and you can tell she is an awesome and genuine person.”
Loveland will be honored as the SeatGeek Member of the Match for Friday’s match against the North Carolina Courage. For more information on how to become a Dash365 member, click here.
