Holly Kaufman is a proud and passionate Dash fan who loves attending Dash matches thanks to its inclusive and welcoming environment. Kaufman, who has lived in Houston since 2012, has been a Dash365 season ticket holder since the 2021 season and a fan for much longer.
Kaufman says she is grateful for the relationships she’s made thanks to the people she has met at Dash games, in particular those in Section 105 at Shell Energy Stadium.
“Dash creates a place for all ages, ethnicities, and communities to come together to support our team,” Kaufman said. “There’s something for everyone and ithas shown in the details, large and small. We have met so many great people in our section. Section 105 is family.”
Kaufman regularly attends games with her fiancé Samantha Brown and added that the couple recently got engaged in April of this year. The two will be in attendance for Sunday’s match against NJ/NY Gotham FC where Holly will be honored as the SeatGeek Member of the Match.
All throughout the weekend Houston will be joining millions across the nation in celebrating Pride, which celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community. For Sunday’s game, the Dash will be wearing jerseys with the Pride Flag on its numbers and the club will host a pre-game event. and the Club also held an event at Pearl Bar earlier this week.
For Kaufman, Pride is “Pride to me means having the courage to be authentic and live your truth- for yourself and for those that are not able to.”
She also hopes that sports teams add more dog friendly games and sections because: “The gays love their dogs.”
