Howard Caven is looking forward to returning to PNC Stadium on Saturday for his first match since the Dash defeated Chicago 4-1 on July 16. Caven will also take center stage when he is honored as the SeatGeek member of the match and looks forward to using the opportunity to get to know more people involved in the organization.
Having been in Houston since the age of five, Caven says he was inspired to start supporting the Dash due to the success of the United States Women’s National team.
“The women's teams weren't getting as much attention and support as they really deserved,” Caven said. “That’s what triggered me to be to purchase season tickets for the Dash.”
For Caven being a Dash365 member has several perks, like having first pick on seats, as well as several other benefits. Caven, who renewed his membership for 2023, is excited to be back for another season and hopes more people can join him next year.
“We have seats right behind the goal and it's just an absolute riot to watch,” Caven said. “We like it best when the Dash is coming toward us and watching the magic on the field.”
One of the big positives for Caven and what he likes the most about being a Dash365 member is that throughout the season he is able to form lasting relationships with those seated around him and his daughter.
Since Juan Carlos Amoros took over as the interim head coach, Caven says he has seen how well the team has responded and is optimistic about the team as they make their push for the club’s first ever appearance in the playoffs.
“The new coach seems to have pulled some levers and things seem to be heading in a very positive direction from a fan perspective. So, that's looking good,” Caven said.
