Six Houston Dash Players will be in action across the globe during the February FIFA International Window.
Three players will be in action in Southern California for the inaugural Concacaf W Gold Cup tournament. Forwards María Sánchez and Diana Ordóñez joined Mexico following Houston’s preseason trip to Tucson, Arizona. Both players will kickoff Group A play on Tuesday evening against Argentina beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT at Dignity Sports Park in Carson, Calif. Fans can watch the game on Paramount+ of FuboTV. On Friday, Feb. 23, the Mexican duo will face off against the Dominican Republic at 6:30 p.m. CT and will be available on Paramount+.
Sánchez and Ordóñez will close out group play against current Dash teammate Jane Campbell and the United States on Feb. 26 at 9:15 p.m. CT, details on broadcast will be released ahead of the clash.
Campbell and the USWNT kickoff their Group A group play journey against the Dominican Republic on Tuesday night at 9:15 CT at Dignity Sports Park in Carson, Calif the match will be available on Paramount+, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes. The USWNT will continue group play on Feb. 23 against Argentina, with the match scheduled for 9:15 p.m. CT, also streaming on Paramount+.
Forward Michelle Alozie and Nigeria will face Cameroon in the third round of the CAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament. The first leg of the third round will kickoff at 11 a.m. CT on Friday, Feb. 23 at Stade de la Réunification in Cameroon. The second leg will be played on Feb. 26 at 9 a.m. CT at Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Nigeria.
Midfielder Sarah Puntigam and the Austrian Women’s National Team will play two friendlies against England and Denmark. Puntigam is expected to captain Austria on Friday, Feb. 23 against the Lionesses for their match at Estadio Nuevo Mirador in Spain and is set to kickoff at 1:45 p.m. CT. Five Days later, on Feb. 28 Austria will play its second friendly against Denmark at 9:30 a.m. CT at Marbella Football Center - Sur 1 (Stadium) in Spain.
Savannah Madden will be looking to earn her first cap and appearance for the Peru Women’s National Team after joining La Bicolor for the international window. Madden and Peru will kick off the first of two friendlies against Bolivia on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. CT. Four days later on Feb. 28, they will play another match at 2 p.m. CT. Both matches will be played in Boliva at Estadio Ramón Tahuichi Aguilera.
All six players will return to Houston following the conclusion of each of their national team’s competitions and continue preparing for the 2024 NWSL Regular Season. The Dash open the 2024 campaign on the road against North Carolina Courage on March 16.
