Houston Dash forward Carli Lloyd and goalkeeper Jane Campbell were named to the U.S. Women’s National Team roster for its annual January camp, U.S. Soccer announced today. The camp will begin on Jan. 6 and will conclude with a friendly against Denmark on Jan. 21 in San Diego.
Lloyd scored her 98th international goal in the USWNT’s 3-1 over Canada last November. The two-time FIFA Women’s Player of the Year has earned 246 caps for the USWNT and would become the sixth player in U.S. history to score 100 international goals.
Campbell earned her second senior cap in the USWNT’s 6-0 victory over South Korea last October as a second-half substitute. The goalkeeper earned her first senior cap with the national team last April at BBVA Compass Stadium as the USWNT defeated Russia 5-1. Campbell finished her rookie season with the Dash with three shutouts and 65 saves over 16 games, the most since the club’s inaugural season.
Lloyd and Campbell will return to Houston in February prior to Houston’s fifth season in the National Women’s Soccer League. Season tickets are available for the 2018 NWSL Season, starting at just $192. For additional information, visit HoustonDashSoccer.com/2018.
