The National Women's Soccer League announced 2017 Awards finalists. Goalkeeper Jane Campbell has been selected as a finalist for this year's Rookie of the Year award.
Campbell finished her rookie season with a franchise-high three clean sheets over 16 games for Houston in 2017. The 15th overall pick in the 2017 NWSL College Draft finished with 65 saves, the most for a Houston Dash ‘keeper since the club’s inaugural season in 2014. Campbell was nominated for NWSL Save of the Week 10 times in 16 appearances and was a key component in Houston’s six-game unbeaten streak this summer that saw her earn Save of the Week honors. The Stanford product was also named to the NWSL Team of the Month for July after she helped Houston to a 3-0-1 record while conceding just three goals.
