Sydney FC have won two of their last three games to take a share of fifth place. With 15 points left to dispute, Sydney FC look to recover from a sluggish start to the W-League season when they lost three of their first four games. This match will be streamed live on ESPN plus.
Simon and City look to split the derby on Friday as they face first-place Melbourne Victory. With a win, City can match Melbourne Victory on points and claim a share of first place. City enter the match with a three-game winning streak that started with a 3-1 victory over the Newcastle Jets on Dec. 9 Melbourne Victory won the first meeting 2-0 on Nov. 16 with goals from Emily Gielnik and Seattle Reign FC midfielder Elise Kellond-Knight. Simon missed the match due to injury, but will be available for selection on Friday.
