Stephanie Ochs and Canberra United picked up their first points of the W-League season with a 1-0 victory over Brisbane Roar FC on Saturday. Ochs played 90 minutes, coming off in stoppage time for Nicky Flannery.

Bianca Henninger and Melbourne Victory fell to Sydney FC 2-1 at home in Lakeside Stadium. The goalkeeper faced five shots on goal and prevented an early 2-0 deficit by denying Remy Siemsen in a one-on-one duel.

Ochs and Canberra host the Newcastle United Jets on Friday and Henninger travels across town for the first Melbourne Derby of the season as she faces Dash teammate Lydia Williams and Melbourne City FC on Saturday.
