Round four of the Westfield W League kicks off with Amber Brooks, Veronica Latsko and Adelaide United hosting Canberra United at Coppers Stadium on Thursday morning. Latsko led Adelaide to their first victory of the season last Saturday and the Reds look to carry that momentum as they host their first game at Cooper Stadium this season. Defensively, Brooks and Adelaide will look for their third consecutive clean sheet of the year after not allowing a goal in their first two matches.
Canberra enters the match as the second-highest scoring team in the league with six goals but was held scoreless in their last match, a 1-0 defeat to the Newcastle Jets last Saturday.
Sofia Huerta and Sydney FC host the first place Melbourne Victory on Saturday evening. A point would separate the two teams in the W League ladder with a Sydney FC victory. Huerta and Sydney FC did not play in Round Three due to a bye and Melbourne Victory secured their second victory of the year with a 2-0 victory over cross-town rivals Melbourne City FC.
Melbourne will look to bounce back after dropping the derby as they travel to Perth for a clash with Perth Glory on Sunday morning. Kyah Simon did not play in the Melbourne derby due to an achilles injury and the club will confirm her availability later this week. City will look for their second victory of the season and climb from the penultimate spot in the ladder after dropping two of their three games this season.
Clare Polkinghorne and Brisbane Roar return to action on Nov. 29 as they travel to No. 2 Sportsground for a clash with the Newcastle Jets.
ESPN+ will stream the matches live and additional updates will follow on HoustonDashSoccer.com.
