Veronica Latsko’s first-half goal gave Adelaide United its second victory of the season and extended their unbeaten streak to three games. Amber Brooks and the Adelaide defense have not allowed a goal during the streak and after Thursday’s result, the Reds sit in third place with seven points.
Sofia Huerta and Sydney FC fell to Melbourne Victory 3-2 at Jubilee Stadium on Saturday evening. The midfielder logged a full shift and forced a save in the 18th minute with a header from inside the box that was saved at the bottom corner of the left post.
Kyah Simon made her season debut on Sunday as she started for Melbourne City FC as they fell 5-2 to Perth Glory. Simon missed the beginning of the season due to an achilles injury. The forward left the game in the 54th minute and completed 83 percent of her passes.
Clare Polkinghorne and Brisbane Roar return to action on Nov. 29 as they travel to No. 2 Sportsground for a clash with the Newcastle Jets.
