The forward brushed off a defender to win the ball inside the box and beat the keeper at the near post for her first goal of the game. The match finished as a 2-2 draw as Adelaide climbed into third place on the W-League ladder.

Simon scored her first goal of the season last Saturday in a 1-1 draw with Adelaide United. The defending W-League champion will look for its second victory of the season after dropping three of their first four games.
