Sofia Huerta and Sydney FC travel to AAMI Park on Friday to face Kyah Simon and Melbourne City FC for a rematch of the 2018 Grand Final. Huerta logged a full shift in Sydney’s 3-0 victory over Western Sydney Wanderers in the opening game of the season last Thursday. Simon did not dress for Melbourne’s clash with Canberra United due to an achilles injury. Melbourne will look to bounce back after falling in their opening fixture 2-0.
Clare Polkinghorne and Brisbane Roar FC will look for their first victory of the season on Saturday as they travel south to face Western Sydney at Marconi Stadium. Brisbane drew 1-1 with Perth Glory in their opening game of the year.
Amber Brooks, Veronica Latsko and Adelaide United have a bye this week and will return to action at 11 p.m. CDT on Saturday Nov. 17 against Polkinghorne and Brisbane Roar at Lions Stadium.
