NWSL x LIGA MX Femenil Summer Cup
Debuting this season as part of a groundbreaking collaboration between the two leagues, the NWSL x LIGA MX Femenil Summer Cup kicks off July 19 featuring all 14 NWSL clubs and the six teams with the most points achieved in LIGA MX Femenil Clausura and Apertura during 2023.
WHEN
- Kicking off on July 19, the 33-match tournament will consist of 30 group stage contests followed by a four-team semifinal round on August 6 at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. The championship match will take place on Friday, October 25 at Toyota Field in San Antonio, Texas.
WHO
- The 14 NWSL clubs will be joined by Tigres UANL, Club América, Chivas de Guadalajara, Rayadas de Monterrey, Pachuca and Tijuana in five groups.
- As part of Group C, the Dash will begin on the road in Kansas City on July 20, then head home to take on Tigres UANL on July 28 and Pachuca on August 1.
HOW IT WORKS
- The 20 teams are split into five groups of four. Each team will play the three other teams within the group. The team with the most points will win the group but only the top four point-getters from the group winners will advance to the semifinals.
