The men's college soccer season continued last weekend, highlighted by No. 1 Akron's 4-0 demolition of No. 2 Tulsa, and Dynamo Academy sophomore Matt Boullt, on Friday night. This week, another Dynamo Academy defender will play on national television on Friday night, with Duke freshman Sebastien Ibeagha likely to start against Maryland on Fox Soccer Channel.
The 2010 season marks the first group of college seniors who spent time in the Dynamo Academy, so college soccer is especially worth watching to see which players might be drafted or even signed prior to the draft in the 2010-11 offseason.

Seniors
Daniel Roberts, MF/FW, UNC-Wilmington (Fort Bend Clements) Dynamo bio | UNCW bio
Roberts continues to miss time due to injury as UNC-Wilmington, which entered the week ranked 23rd nationally, split two games last week, losing 1-0 to No. 11 Duke and hammering Hofstra 4-0 in the opening game of Colonial Athletic Association play. The Seahawks host Coastal Carolina Tuesday night and play in the same city as the Dynamo - Philadelphia - at Drexel on Saturday afternoon.
Josue Soto, MF, SMU (PrepaTec, Mexico) Dynamo bio | SMU bio
Soto started, played about 60 minutes, and scored the game-winning goal as No. 9 SMU rolled to a 3-0 lead on conference rival UAB on Friday night. Taken out 10 minutes after extending the lead to 3-0 with his second goal of the year, a shot to the top left corner of the net, Soto had to come back for the final nine minutes as SMU held on for a 3-2 win.The Mustangs held on for the win by a 3-2 margin but did have to re-insert Soto into the game late to ensure the victory.
Soto then started and played 77 of 93 minutes, assisting on the game-tying goal, in a 2-1 overtime win over Jacksonville on Sunday. His through ball set up the equalizer, giving Soto a team-high six assists on the season, almost one-third of the team's total of 20. SMU will play at Central Florida on Saturday.
Juniors
Alex Dixon, FW, North Carolina (Humble Atascocita) Dynamo bio | UNC bio
Dixon sat out No. 3 North Carolina's 2-1 overtime win over Wofford last Tuesday but was back in the starting lineup at forward in the Tar Heels' crucial 2-1 win over Maryland on Friday. UNC has won five consecutive games since falling to No. 1 Akron on Sept. 3 but has a tough road test against defending national champion Virginia on Friday night.
Clayton Holz, MF, Stanford (St. John's) Dynamo bio | Stanford bio
Holz helped Stanford extend its winning streak to four games, appearing as a sub in a 3-0 win over St. Mary's on Friday and a 1-0 win over Denver on Sunday. The Cardinal open Pac-10 play against rival Cal on Saturday.
Matt Kirby, MF, Denver (Beaumont Msgr. Kelly) Dynamo bio | DU bio
Kirby started in a 2-2 tie at Cal on Friday, then started and played 47 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Stanford on Sunday. Denver opens Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play at Air Force on Saturday.

Boullt started at right back in No. 2 Tulsa's 4-0 loss at a loaded No. 1 Akron on Friday night on Fox Soccer Channel. Although the defense was burned for four goals, none came through Boullt's side of the field. The Golden Hurricane open conference play at Memphis on Saturday.
Freshmen

Ibeagha returned to the lineup on Tuesday for the first time since the season opener, starting on defense - ironically filling in for his brother, Christian - and helping the No. 11 Blue Devils to a 1-0 win over No. 23 UNC-Wilmington. Ibeagha then played a full 90 minutes as part of a shutout defense when Duke handed No. 10 Boston College its first loss of the season, 1-0, on Friday. Duke plays at Elon on Tuesday, then will play at ACC rival Maryland on Friday night.
C.J. Odenigwe, DF, North Carolina (Fort Bend Travis) Dynamo bio | UNC bio
Odenigwe came off the bench to play 23 minutes, including the overtime period, in a 2-1 overtime win vs. Wofford last Tuesday. He did not play on Friday as the No. 3 Tar Heels edged conference rival Maryland 2-1. UNC hosts Old Dominion Tuesday night.
Jonny Torres, MF, Wake Forest (Humble Atascocita) Dynamo bio | Wake bio
Played 31 minutes as a substitute - one of eight subs in the match - as No. 19 Wake Forest fell 1-0 to the College of Charleston last Tuesday. Torres showed well enough to make an eight-minute cameo in Wake's 2-1 win over UNC-Greensboro on Saturday. The Demon Deacons host South Carolina on Tuesday night and ACC rival Virginia Tech on Friday night.
Pat Wall, GK, Notre Dame (Strake Jesuit) Dynamo bio | ND bio
Wall did not play and remains eligible to redshirt this season. Notre Dame knocked off No. 12 St. John's in its Big East opener and hosts Providence on CBS College Sports on Sunday afternoon.

Houston Baptist University
The Huskies went 0-2 at the USD Cup, falling 3-0 to both San Diego State and San Diego. HBU will face Central Arkansas in McKinney, Texas, on Friday before hosting Bradley at Sorrels Field in Houston at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
