The older age groups of the Houston Dynamo Academy faced a two-game weekend in Colorado this past weekend, taking on Real Colorado on Saturday followed by Colorado Rush on Sunday, while the U-13 and U-14 teams traveled to San Antonio in U.S. Soccer Development Academy action.
U-19 — Loss 3-2 at Real Colorado, Win 6-1 at Colorado Rush: Marcelo Palomino and Jesus Ortiz scored in the first match of the weekend, but Real Colorado scored in the 90th minute to pull out a win. Ortiz and Palomino scored again against Rush, as well as four more Dynamo players – Devin Benton, Roberto Hernandez, Jalen Anderson, and Heriberto Soto – in the 6-1 rout. Palomino finished the weekend with three assists as well.
U-17 — Loss 2-1 at Real Colorado, Win 4-2 at Colorado Rush: The Dynamo went down two goals in the first half against Real Colorado, but Cristian Coelho scored in the 90th minute for the 2-1 final score. Jaden Servania and Ruaridh Fraser scored as the Dynamo and Rush were tied through 90 minutes, but Fraser and Ulyses Jaimes both tallied in stoppage time for a 4-2 win.
U-15 — Win 3-1 at Real Colorado, Win 4-1 at Colorado Rush: Bryce Willoughby, Danny Rios, and Jonathan Chavez scored within the first 20 minutes to provide a 3-1 win over Real Colorado. Willoughby, Kieran Sargeant and an own goal had the Dynamo up three goals again at halftime against Rush. Nelson Medina scored in the second half for the 4-1 final.
U-14 — Tie 1-1 at San Antonio FC: Christian Castenada scored for the Dynamo just four minutes after conceding to ensure a 1-1 draw in San Antonio.
U-13 —Win 4-1 at San Antonio FC: The Dynamo gave up a goal in the 16th minute, but a Ricardo Garcia hat trick and a goal from Jose Rodriguez gave them a 4-1 win.

Generation adidas Cup
The Dynamo U-17s will take part in the Generation adidas Cup along with the rest of the MLS academies and selected foreign competition from March 23-31. By virtue of their qualifying record, Houston will be in the Premier Division Group D along with Orlando City SC, Real Salt Lake, and Monterrey. The top team in the group will advance to the knockout stage.
The Dynamo Academy U-12s will also participate in a 7v7 tournament, placed in Group D along with Atlanta United, Seattle Sounders, New York Red Bulls, and Minnesota United.
