The Houston Dynamo Academy, presented by Statoil, swept Lonestar Soccer Club on Saturday at the Houston Amateur Sports Park.
In the first match of the day, the U-18s won 1-0, with Louis Thomas scroing his first goal of the season in the 44th minute. Leopoldo Castillo started in goal and recorded his first shutout of the season for the Dynamo, which improved to 3-1-1.
In the second match of the afternoon doubleheader, the Dynamo U-16s won for the third time in four matches, defeated Lonestar SC 2-0. Gabriel Camera and Elo Ozumba scored first-half goals for the Dynamo, to improve their record to 3-1-1. Andy Rios posted his second shutout for the Dynamo U-16s this season.
On Sunday, the Dynamo Pre-Academy teams took the field against the Lonestar and came away with a perfect record. The U-15s won 2-0 behind goals from William Barron and Roberto Marquez. The U-14s won 2-1, with Alejandro Lezama and Gianluca Natera providing the goals. The U-13s won 2-0, with Jommar Reyes scoring both goals to increase his goal-scoring total to four on the season.
The Dynamo U-16 and U-18 teams will hit the road this weekend for matches against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The U-13, U-14 and U-15 teams will host Andromeda on Sunday at the Houston Amateur Sports Park.
